Girls Rugby Development Day 🏈
This week we took 29 girls from years 8 and 9 to a Love Rugby Development Day at Paignton Rugby Club. We had an overwhelming amount of interest in this event, especially from students who had not before represented the school before in a sporting activity so it was really encouraging to see so many getting involved.
Torbay Schools Rugby Manager Ella Fielding put the girls through their paces in the morning with a carousel of activities focusing on kicking, passing, tagging and general principles of Rugby. This was followed by an afternoon of gameplay during which girls were given the opportunity to put their skills into practise. The students had a great day and we are hoping some will now further their Rugby knowledge by joining local community clubs.
