March 31st 2025 to 4th April 2025
Work Experience
Last week, some of our year 10 students had some excellent training and expert tips from the Painting and decorating team at South Devon College as they prepare themselves to design and decorate a new study space during Work Experience Week.

Sponge the Teacher
Year 7s organised a “Sponge the Teacher” event on Wednesday 2nd April to raise money for charity. It was a fantastic event and the weather was glorious.

Business Studies – Thorpe Park
On Friday 28th March, a group of year 10 and 12 students took on Thorpe Park, and won!!! An incredible but long day.

STEM Club
Over the last couple of weeks we have been making and testing our own self propelling boats! There were a variety of designs and lots of wet feet, but we had a great deal of fun.
Earlier this term we made a huge amount of mess making some well researched slime. Special thanks to Dr Cook for her hard work in getting the recipes just right and the RE department for joining us in STEM (they were messier than the students!)

U14 National State Schools Hockey Championship, Nottingham 2025
A squad of Year 8 and 9 students recently represented St. Cuthbert Mayne School in a National State Schools Hockey Festival in Nottingham. It was a fantastic opportunity for the students and a memorable experience.
The students were a credit to the school, they played exceptionally well against some tough opposition from schools all over the country and made excellent progress throughout the competition. They should all be very proud of their achievements. Players of the tournament go to Varvara and Maddie D with special mention to Lilly who was a natural in goal. Well Done Girls!!!

Uniformed Protected Services
Throughout the past year the Uniformed Protective Services sixth form class have been developing their knowledge of the services and developing their teamwork, leadership and communication skills.
They have visited Barton Hall taking part in zip wire and archery, they have had careers talks and teamwork activities with the RAF and Army. In lessons they have undertaken different challenges taking turns to lead.

Mock Results Review Evening
We appreciate everyone who attended our Mock Results Review Evening. It was a highly productive night, and we hope the event proved beneficial for you.
