The Equality Duty is considered in all decision-making processes, with due regard for the following:

Eliminating unlawful discrimination, harassment and victimisation and any other conduct prohibited by the Act
Advancing equality of opportunity between people who share a protected characteristic and people who do not share it
Fostering good relations between people who share a protected characteristic and people who do not share it
