Last week, Bishop Sarah officially became the 106th Archbishop of Canterbury.
Formerly the Bishop of London, the Most Rev’d Sarah Mullally also made history as the first female Archbishop of Canterbury, following her Confirmation of Election at St Paul’s Cathedral, where the legal responsibilities of the role were formally passed to her.
Prior to Archbishop Sarah becoming the Bishop of London, she was the Bishop of Crediton and we enjoyed her visiting St Cuthbert Mayne School as part of our St Cuthbert Mayne Day celebrations during that time.
We extend our warmest congratulations as she begins this new chapter in her episcopal ministry. To mark the occasion, here she is pictured at our school in 2016 joining us to celebrate St Cuthbert Mayne Day.
Congratulations, Archbishop Sarah Mullally and we hope you’ll be back to visit us again soon
