ART & DESIGN
A Level – AQA Art & Design (Art, craft & design)
If you have an adventurous, creative and enquiring mind and are excited by shaping and determining the visual world around us, this is the course for you…
Creativity is an important skill for any future career. Our Art & Design Course will provide you with the skills and knowledge to create personal and imaginative work.
An A Level in Art & Design will open up further study opportunities either through a Foundation Course or an Undergraduate Degree. The career opportunities are endless. You could be a Portrait Artist, a Marketing Designer, an Architect, or work in TV & Film. The choice is yours!
There are 2 coursework modules and one final exam unit which is externally set by AQA with a Practical Exam.
You can choose to focus on a specialist area of study from a variety of exciting processes and media to suit your individual interests and abilities.
At the end of the course there is an exhibition where all your work produced is presented to the examiner and marks are awarded according to the assessment objectives.
Alongside coursework, There will also be opportunities outside the classroom to enrich your creative learning.
ASSESSMENT:
Coursework…………………60% of Grade
Practical Exam……………..40% of Grade
