Selecting your Subjects

I believe your Sixth Form years should be the best years of your life. You can think about an apprenticeship, or make plans for setting off to university. You will make friendships that will last. You can learn to drive. You will choose which subjects you would like to take further.

We are so proud of our students, right now, some students are working in Australia, Dubai, London and Cambridge. Others are working for ITV, Volkswagen, Barclays or serving locally in our Public Services as Doctors, nurses, paramedics, police and the Army. They are an inspiration. But it wasn’t by chance that they achieved these things. They worked hard and took their opportunities.

Please take a moment to browse through our available subjects. This year we have increased our offering but it is important to understand that we may not be able to run all courses if there is a lack of interest.

Your teachers love their subjects. They may seem a bit ‘full-on’ sometimes, but you want your teachers to love what they are doing! They will push you, and even ignite the spark in you.

Sixth Form classes are smaller, teachers will know how you learn best and they will support you if you are thinking of going to university. Many of our students take part in Exeter Scholars and Summer schools. Recently, one student had an all-expenses-paid trip to America on a Summer school, one spent several days at Cambridge University and another gained a Gold Crest Award for their Physics placement.

There is also a lot going on outside of class. There are loads of trips to get involved with including subject trips, the Ski Trip, Cornwall, Parliament, University visits and more!

We are proud of our students. They take on leadership around the school and create a brilliant atmosphere in Sixth Form. We hope you will join us next year with the same ambition.
