This course covers a range of biological principles and concepts that build on what you have learned at GCSE.
From molecules, cells, genetics and the environment there is content that will appeal to all. There is a distinct focus on practical skills that complements the subject content well.
Across the Course you will study areas of Biology such as:
• Biological Molecules
• Cells
• Organisms exchange substances with their environment
• Genetic Information, variation and relationships between organisms
• Energy transfers in and between organisms
• Organisms respond to changes in their internal & external environment
• Genetics, populations, evolution and ecosystems
• The control of gene expression
ASSESSMENT:
Paper 1 – (35%) External Exam 2hrs
Paper 2 – (35%) External Assessment 2hrs
Paper 3 – (30%) External Assessment 2hrs
Our course is designed to support your progression into appropriate higher apprenticeships and higher education.
