ENGINEERING

BTEC Pearson National Extended Certificate in Engineering

If you have a flair for problem solving and thinking up creative solutions, paired with fondness of Maths and Physics- this may be the course for you.

Our BTEC Engineering Course is designed to provide you with knowledge, skills, and practical experience in engineering and will allow you to gain a broad knowledge of mechanical and electrical disciplines.

This course will provide you with the skills you will need to pursue Higher apprenticeships in Engineering, and to study Undergraduate courses in various related fields. You will explore how to apply mathematical and physical science principles to solve electrical, electronic and mechanical engineering. You will look at how processes are undertaken to deliver engineering services safely.

You will also take part in practical activities in the workshop and work experience to help you gain insight into the industry

ASSESSMENT:

Unit 1: Engineering Principles. Written Exam 2hrs

Unit 2: Delivering Engineering Processes. Safely as a team

Internal Assessment

Unit 3: Engineering Product Design and Manufacture

External Practical Assessment

Unit 9: Work Experience in Engineering
